What is an extraction?

An extraction is the process Syntage uses to retrieve or refresh information from a datasource for an entity. Read Extractions for the full concept and how extractions relate to reports, data, exports, usage, and API requests.

How do I manually update an entity’s data?

You can create manual extractions from several product areas:
  • From All Entities, open the entity status and choose Update data.
  • From the entity’s Reports page, click Update data.
  • From the entity menu, open Extractions and click Update data.
Select the extractor, configure any required period or options, and create the extraction.

How do I keep data updated automatically?

Use recurring extraction schedulers. A scheduler can target entities by tag and create extraction rules at the frequency your organization needs. Read Extraction schedulers for setup details.

Why don’t I see updated information?

The data may not have been extracted yet. Create a manual extraction or configure recurring extractions if your team needs updated information on a schedule. Also check whether the entity’s credential or authorization is still valid. Invalid credentials can prevent refreshes.

How long do extractions take?

Extraction times are estimates and depend on datasource availability, SAT load, document volume, invoice volume, and extractor type. Typical ranges from the support docs are: These times are not guarantees.

What happens when SAT limits XML downloads?

SAT applies daily CFDI XML download limits per RFC. The approximate limit referenced in support docs is around 2,000 XML files per day, but the limit can vary. When the XML limit is reached, Syntage may continue processing available PDF files and can retry XML retrieval later. If your process needs the XML files, try again the next day or configure recurring extractions.

How can I review monthly extraction usage?

You can review extraction usage in:

Do exports consume extractions?

No. Exports package data Syntage already retrieved. They do not connect to external datasources and do not consume extraction usage.

Which extractors may have additional costs?

Extractor pricing depends on your plan and commercial agreement. Historically, support docs described SAT, RPC, and RUG extractors as included in plan usage, while BIL and some Buró de Crédito report types could have per-report costs. Check your plan and contract terms, or contact your CSM or Syntage Support before enabling extractors that may have additional charges.
