Creating an entity connects a person or company to the datasources your organization needs. The onboarding path depends on whether the selected datasources are public or private.

Public and private datasources

Datasource typeExamplesAuthorization required
PublicRPC, RUG, BIL, SAT certificate lookup, background checksNo entity authorization is required, but some reports may have an additional cost
PrivateSAT, Buró de CréditoThe entity must authorize access
Public datasources can be useful for preliminary review before you ask the entity to complete an authorization flow. Private datasources require the entity to complete onboarding or authorization.

Create an entity with public datasources

  1. Open All Entities.
  2. Click Add entity.
  3. Select the public datasources you want to request.
  4. Enter the entity’s RFC or legal name.
  5. Complete the flow.
Syntage starts the selected extractions. When they finish, the data is available in the entity’s report and data sections. Use an onboarding link when the entity needs to authorize access to private datasources.
  1. Open All Entities.
  2. Open the dropdown next to Add entity.
  3. Select Open onboarding page.
  4. Select whether to include Buró de Crédito onboarding.
  5. Copy the generated URL and share it with the entity.
You can send the URL by email, WhatsApp, or any other communication channel your organization uses. Use a personalized link when you want the flow to include entity-specific information.
  1. Open All Entities.
  2. Click Add entity.
  3. Select the public and private datasources you need.
  4. Enter the RFC or legal name.
  5. Copy the generated onboarding URL and share it with the entity.
Personalized links can improve trust because the entity sees a registration flow tied to its own information.

Customize the onboarding page

Administrators can customize the registration page from Entity Onboarding. Common settings include:
  • Company name
  • Privacy policy URL
  • Company logo
  • Accent color
  • eFirma availability, when enabled for your organization
After saving changes, open the registration link to verify how the page appears to entities.

Check whether onboarding was completed

Use SAT Credentials to review SAT credential registration attempts.
  1. Open SAT Credentials.
  2. Filter by RFC.
  3. Check whether the status is valid or invalid.
  4. Review the creation date if the entity was previously registered.
If validation succeeded but the entity does not appear in the expected position in the entity list, filter All Entities by RFC. Existing entities keep their original creation date, so a repeated registration may not move the entity to the top of the list.

Troubleshoot SAT onboarding

If the registration flow reports that the RFC or password is incorrect, ask the entity to confirm:
  • The RFC is correct
  • The CIEC password is correct
  • The password has at least one letter and one number
  • The password is at least 8 characters and no more than 20 characters
  • They are using the CIEC password, not the e.firma password, unless e.firma onboarding is enabled
  • e.firma portable is not enabled
If an existing SAT credential later becomes invalid, the entity usually needs to complete onboarding again so Syntage can validate the updated credential.

Processed entities

A processed entity is an RFC that has been created and has at least one extraction during the current month. For plan limits, an entity is counted once per month even if you run multiple extractions for that entity. Creating an entity and processing an entity are different:
  • Creating an entity happens when the entity completes onboarding or is added to Syntage.
  • Processing an entity happens when at least one extraction is created for that entity during the month.
