Shareholders
Shareholders represent people or companies that own shares in a company. Use shareholder resources to list the shareholders connected to an entity, add manually collected shareholder information, update shareholder details, and inspect where shareholder information came from.
Shareholder relations connect a shareholder to an entity. A relation describes the direction of ownership and can include share counts or ownership percentages. Relation sources identify where the relation information came from.
Manual sources always take precedence over other sources. When the same relation is reported by multiple non-manual sources, the most recent update wins.
Use promotion when a shareholder should become its own entity. Promotion creates an entity for the shareholder so you can connect datasources and continue working with that person or company directly.
