SAT catalogs define the codes used in CFDI invoices, payments, retentions, and related SAT data. Syntage returns many SAT fields as catalog codes, so these tables help you interpret common values in API responses. This page includes the SAT catalogs most commonly used when reading invoice and retention data through the API. It is not a replacement for the official SAT catalog files, which may include additional codes and validity rules.

How to use these catalogs

Use the code from the API response to look up its meaning in the relevant catalog. For example, an invoice with paymentType: "PUE" uses c_MetodoPago, where PUE means payment in one installment. Some SAT catalog values are only valid for specific CFDI versions, dates, taxpayer regimes, or document types. When you need complete validation rules, use the official SAT catalog for that field.

c_TipoDeComprobante

Type of CFDI document. This indicates whether the CFDI is an invoice, credit note, payment complement, payroll receipt, or transfer document.

c_MetodoPago

Payment method for the CFDI. This identifies whether the invoice was paid in one installment or in installments/deferred payment.

c_FormaPago

Payment form used for the transaction, such as cash, electronic transfer, credit card, debit card, or another SAT-defined payment form.

c_Moneda

Currency used in the CFDI.

c_RegimenFiscal

Tax regime associated with the issuer or receiver.

c_UsoCFDI

Intended use of the CFDI declared by the receiver.

c_ClaveProdServ

Product or service code used in CFDI line items. The full catalog is large and changes over time, so use the official SAT catalog for complete lookup and validation. Official SAT product and service catalog

c_ClaveUnidad

Unit code used in CFDI line items. This identifies the unit of measure for a product or service.

c_Impuesto

Tax type used in transferred or withheld taxes.

c_TipoFactor

Tax factor type used to calculate a tax amount.

c_TipoRelacion

Relationship type used when one CFDI references another CFDI, such as credit notes, substitutions, returns, or advance payments.

Clave de retenciones

Retention type used in SAT retention documents.
