# SAT datasource

> Tax, identity, invoice, and compliance data from Mexico's Servicio de Administracion Tributaria.

The SAT datasource contains tax, identity, invoice, and compliance data extracted from Mexico's Servicio de Administracion Tributaria for an entity.

Use this section for SAT credentials, invoices, invoice payments, tax returns, tax status, tax compliance checks, tax retentions, electronic accounting records, and SAT certificates. Most SAT records are created by [extractions](/resources/core/extractions): create or schedule an extraction for an entity, wait for it to finish, then read the resulting SAT data from the pages in this section.

SAT records often include a `file` or `files` field for XML, PDF, certificate, acknowledgment, or source files. Those fields return file resources; use the [Files](/resources/core/files) page to inspect file metadata or download the content.
